The Old Garage is located 5 miles north of the market town of Kendal (Gateway to the Lakes) originally built in the 40’s as a service and filling station on the A6 when it was one of the main North/ South routes linking Scotland and England. The filling station closed soon after the M6 opened. The garage had many guises over the years being a motorbike repair shop, car garage and MOT centre and most recently an agricultural machinery dealership. It has been recently fully refurbished, insulated throughout and given the benefit of underfloor heating . It is now 2 comfortable holiday apartments in this stunning rural location within easy reach of both the North and South lakes and Western Dales. Your hosts, Russell and Nikki live adjacent to The Old Garage at Windy Ridge where they have lived for 30 + years they are on hand if you need any info or assistance or have any problems.
